february 2010
the month of february went by in a blur. for one thing, we found out that i was expecting crowfoot #3. i mean, really, what's one more? jk. isaiah begged and begged for a baby brother. being in law school is a little tricky though. we had to time things just right. couldn't have the baby during the summer just in case we had to travel out for an internship. and we didn't want to have double birthday months. so september and october were the only acceptable months. the baby is due september 30th. ;)
anyway, needless to say, i've been so tired. not because of the kids, but making this little babe has been exhausting! thankfully, isaiah and makayah are both at that age where they are pretty independent. they can snack from the fruit bowl in the mornings when i'm still sleeping. they can go to the potty and wipe themselves. they play pretty well with each other.
i'm a routine kinda person. so, this being pregnant thing has really thrown off my groove. mondays are preschool and ballet...isaiah and makayah both arrive late. but that's just how it goes right now. tuesdays used to be my playground/playdate day...but, eh. wednesdays are supposed to be shopping days (after i drop isaiah off at preschool...late) but, with all the smells and feeling pukey - yuck. thursdays are library days but we've constantly missed those. :( fridays are still fun fridays...and sam does not have school on fridays, so hallelujah. sam took both kids skiing at the tyrol basin. and sometimes they would just go on a car ride or a trip to the mall so i could sleep.
although it's been frustrating not being able to have enough energy for even making dinner...i have been having lots of snuggle time with the kids. :) every day around 3pm i get extremely tired! i had to start having movie day every day around that time. luckily, we have a king-sized bed, and the t.v. is in our room. all i have to do is pop a movie in, push play, snuggle up with the kids in the monster bed, and snooze while they watch. it's really worked out well...even though i'd rather not have the kids watch so much t.v., sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. i get my sleep, and the kids don't run around the house destroying things. the cuddles are the best though. :)
