daddy made mosiah laugh today. it was his first laugh. time for a laughing party!

despite his serious face, he is a happy boy.

unfortunately, his sister woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Last day mackinac

after a gorgeous, sunny day yesterday, we woke up to rain this morning. it's a good thing we packed our rain jackets.

we checked out of the hotel and sent our luggage off with the ferry guys.

mimzy didn't want to go home, yet.

they say this hotel is haunted. unfortunately, we didn't hear or see any ghosts this trip.

an outside photo of the resort, and the ferry guys with our luggage.

the massive lawn across the resort.

our first family photo. we had to move fast since the wind was whipping and the clouds were sprinkling. poor baby mo was gasping for air.

the walk back into town.

we had planned on going on a bike ride around the island today, but with the rain coming down harder and harder, we decided to skip it and make plans for another trip out here.

breakfast at the pancake house.

geez, this guy misses out on all the fun. all he wants to do is sleep.

slurping orange juice and spraying it from your mouth is pretty entertaining for an 18 month old.

the kids had begged us to go into this crazy mirror house yesterday. since the bike ride was scratched, we had some time to spare.

before we boarded the ferry, we bought our sweatshirts, cups of hot cocoa, and gladly went home. in our hurry to board the ferry the first time, we had left a couple of items in the car - like samiyah's shoes.

toasty warm inside our van.

we stopped off at green bay to visit grandma rita.

the kids like to just make themselves at home.

it was a magical weekend.
