wedding bells...

our first morning on the island we walked down to the main street to the market, bought some breakfast things, and had a picnic in the park with our good friend, meredith, who we just happened to bump into. she was also attending the wedding that afternoon.

breakfast butterflies.

the island was gorgeous, and walking up and down the streets was rather invigorating. we loved not having to worry about cars racing by, and making sure our kids didn't run into traffic. the sun was shining, the breeze was warm, and it was perfect for fudge shop hopping.

around lunch time, we took a break from fudge sampling to skip rocks on the lake.

although mo sat quietly in his stroller, he still wanted to be included in all the fun.

mimzy making a beeline for someone's "pubby."

the small town feel was so welcoming. there were bicycles and horse drawn carts everywhere we looked.

we stopped at a couple shops to pick up some t-shirts and anything that would keep mimzy occupied.

we stopped for pizza on a deck over looking the lake.

after our morning of playing tourist, we walked back to the hotel and got everyone ready for the big event.

the chapel was just down the road.

the entire time, makayah was bouncing with excitement asking where princess emily was and when we were going to see her.

just after the ceremony, they got to wave hello.

there were a few hours to kill before the reception that evening, so we went out walking down the streets of mackinac again. we just couldn't' get enough of this super cool town.

a quick stop at the market for treats.

just before the reception, we bumped into the bride and groom as we were dropping off our kids at their designated sitter.

they had a pretty sweet setup with pizza and movies for the kids.

alone at last.

well, except for this little guy.

everything was so elegant and fancy. it was really fun. we bumped into more law school friends. our place cards were right up near the bride and groom. we felt so special. ;)

the photo booth was pretty awesome. unfortunately, mo didn't like our choice of mustache and bow tie we picked out for him.

makayah snuck into the picture as well.

the food was amazingly delicious. i definitely could've had seconds of everything.

daddy/daughter dance.

today was perfect. we all had so much fun.
the end.
