wow! i can't believe we missed an entire month without writing anything down. all i can say is march madness definitely hit us. we have been literally engulfed in so many things lately i feel i don't have a spare minute on the computer. the beginning of march i was busy making my kids' pow-wow outfits.

and i made isaiah's outfit to match his daddy's ribbon shirt. it took quite a bit of time considering i fell ill with bronchitis. yuck. thankfully all of our family members began to pour in around that time and i was able to rest knowing that my babies were being watched. unfortunately sam's mom, ellen was sick as well. so we were both in the same boat. but things turned out alright and we still had a fun visit with everyone who came. i love our families! i am so happy we mesh so well with each other. most nights we stayed up far too late playing poker, watching movies, and of course attending the pow wow. sam sang with his drum group, and makayah and isaiah danced in the tiny tots. isaiah was thrilled when he got his two dollars and immediately ran out of the WILK ballroom staight to the craft booths, told one of the sellers he had some money and wanted to buy the little nemo fish figurine....gramma pitched in too! makayah on the other hand wouldn't let her money go and after a couple minutes began to chew on her dollar bills. anyway, it was a great weekend. and now we're just getting the house back in order. actually sam and i went on a HUGE food storage binge the last couple of weeks. it was my first time actually doing a shift at the lindon cannery. i actually enjoyed myself and we are doing some self home canning this weekend during general conference. we also have our 72 hour packs packed and found an awesome 4 season tent for an incredible deal. this particular tent is actually used for mount everest base camping! so, i'm feeling pretty good. we're hoping to do a test run soon. now, i've just got to organize everything else. so please everyone do your food storage...if you have any questions or need help, just ask!
Yeah, it's good to see your post! Your kids looked so cute in their outfits! Good job. I was fun to watch Makayah walking around, shaking her jingles. Yeah, you'll have to give me lots of tips on food storage! I'm starting to build it slowly, so I'll need your help!
ReplyDeleteHey You Guys,

ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to take the kids to the zoo. Do you want to go this month? in like two weeks the 21st, 22nd, or 23rd, hopefully it will be warmer! We can get other mom's to go too.
ReplyDeleteAww you poor things. We just got over the whole Bronchitis thing and YUCK! What a downer huh? It's the pitts being sick, by the end of the illness you're ready to go nuts. Well, it's good to see you're all doing well. The powwow looks like it was fun, and how cute are your kids? Love the outfits! Man, I need to get going on this sewing thing, I have zero sewing talent. You're awesome! Love ya, Mer :o)
