makayah likes to dress herself for preschool (and everyday actually)...and sometimes she will put together the craziest outfits. she deliberately wears mismatching socks..."but mom, i want to look like a rainbow!" my own mother told me the story of when i was a little girl and would deliberately wear mismatching shoes when we'd go out to town. they asked, "aren't you going to be embarrassed wearing one tennis shoe and one church shoe?" my five year old self confidently replied, "nope!"
it's like looking back into time, and this time, i'm in my mother's shoes. ;)
