appleberry farm

this is my second time chaperoning a preschool field trip to the appleberry farm. the first was when isaiah was in preschool. today, mims and i accompanied mak on her field trip to the farm. and a quick, thank you, to the weather for being so cooperative!

first up - the hay ride!

the tour begins with honeybees, and continues on snaking around the rest of the apple orchards. it's a beautiful farm with lots of rolling hills and so many different kinds of growing apples.

the honeybee lesson was quite intriguing for the little ones. and lots of questions were asked. ;)

after the hayride, we made our way up the rolling hills and picked our apples. rule #1 - don't pick the ones on the ground.

when the apple picking was finished, we took a go on the old tire swing.

there was also a tour of the cider press and apple freezer, along with a special outdoors snack time of string cheese and crackers. but i think mimzy's favorite part were the chickens. she found their clucking and head bobbing to be quite hilarious.
