our first sunday back in calgary, we drove out to siksika branch for church.
we took a detour on the way back.
sam's childhood house on the rez.
prairies and mountains in the distance.
the town of arrowwood. we drove by sam's old house, down the streets he used to walk, the general store he bought his nickel candy from, and his old elementary school where he used to huddle near the front doors to escape from the frigid wind in winter.
today i am grateful for:
*the kind and familiar faces at siksika branch.
*sam's childhood stories.
*this gorgeous canadian countryside.
