play-dough fun

lately, i've noticed i really need to revamp my daily doings. i've noticed i've been wasting much of my time on the computer - namely facebook. my new rule is no computer during the day - with the exception of checking my email in the morning, lunch, and after bedtime (for only a couple seconds at a time - sometimes sam leaves his phone at home).

it's amazing how much MORE fun the day can be when the computer is taken out of the equation. today, we made play dough pies and cookies.

mimzy thought they were real, and tried to eat them.

besides the increased joy of life, it's amazing the things i've been able to accomplish. i'm just about done de-cluttering the house and it's much more organized. i've begun several sewing projects. caught up with the blog - that, i'm considering important computer time simply because the kids enjoy looking back on what they've done (but i can only do that when they are asleep). it's more efficient for me to do my journaling here. i've also re-organized my genealogy and found more names to submit. i have to be honest, it's been hard not getting on to things like facebook and spending hours "liking" this or that, commenting on this or that. and i think to myself, i really should just send a sincere and personal note instead. that's my next goal.

but mostly, i've found more time to spend with my family, doing things we love - together. and that is more than web browsing could ever give me. ;)
