living it up...

Wednesday

this past week has been extremely jam packed. we are getting ready for the baby who will be making his appearance at 8am tomorrow morning. yep. finally here. 

so, of course, in preparation...i went a little OCD. i'm sure i drove my family nuts with all the pre-baby prep today. i'm lucky they love me. ;)

how to prepare for baby number 4...

take son number 1 to his very last basketball game...and keep playing well after the game ends.

make strawberry freezer jam (while listening to general conference), and lots of it. you never know.

make melted crayons with the kids, because it's fun, but mostly to rid the house of broken crayons.

experiment with yummy dinners because there won't be much time for that after the baby comes.

fawn over the little baby mims, because she just isn't ready to give up her spot of being the baby.

finish makayah's prairie skirt i'd started on a year ago.

have lunch with our good friend emily who drove into town just to see us! okay, so that's not entirely true, but it might as well have been. ;) 

play at the children's museum, again (and get a little freaked out when my daughter comes out wearing a wedding dress).

experiment with new recipes...this time, zucchini boats.

go to the zoo with friends. it's always way more fun with friends.

pick flowers for mom, because she's going to be away for three whole days.

meet daddy after work for a delicious indian meal on the capitol square. 

dance with the puppies at the pet shop.

walk down state street in search of ice cream...

with our friend, emily. last day of emily fun until the wedding.

stifle giggles when mimzy deliberately spills her water (inside a pop can), says uh-oh, and then tries to clean it up.

make three dozen blueberry muffins, some now, some for later.

take a trip to dairy queen and eat some ice cream...just because it's fun yumminess. 

look for great deals on movies - movies are essential for post baby survival.

figure out what to do with a grouchy, pinchy mimzy.

she wasn't allowed on the bed.

attend the easter festivities! 

find eggs, and play with pinwheels in the sunshine.

invite friends to the festivities. the more the merrier!

go through the loot before mommy takes it all away.

make a spontaneous trip to milwaukee for the brewers game. 

wave to the mascot.

ask lots of baseball questions, and eat lots of treats.

and don't forget to put your bottle up in the cup holder so you don't lose it.

marvel at the flock of flying pigeons.

wear a snazzy bow tie mommy made for easter sunday.

or sport the new pillowcase dress mommy slaved over. ;)

enjoy the sunshine and play in the park until someone has to go potty.

and instead of going straight home, drive to the library and have more fun.

pick up umpa, nana, and auntie renee at the airport.

eat at brickhouse bbq, mostly because the "baby" was craving a portobello mushroom sandwich.

laugh, ask lots of funny questions, and drink lots of yummy root beer.

and then end the day with dental floss and a first missing tooth to place underneath the pillow.

today i am grateful for:

*my family. they've been so helpful and patient in all my crazy baby prep demands.

*luigi's- their pizza was sooooo good!

*one more sleep until baby is out. i can't wait to see him. :)
