we've started a tradition of sorts.
around 2pm, we love to head outside after our afternoon snack and run around the backyard and then sit on the porch waiting for isaiah and makayah to come home from school.
this is our favorite time of day.
we are all so excited to see the yellow bus driving down the road, mimzy especially...
mosiah usually can't keep awake for the bus' arrival. but, the weather has been absolutely perfect for naps on the patio.
when the kids come home from school, we have an after-school snack to accompany homework time.
isaiah usually has spelling and reading homework to do, while makayah reads aloud her books to me.
at some point mosiah wakes up and wants to share in the snack time as well.
he's teething, so cold melons on his gums are heavenly.
after-school snacks are usually not enough.
this kid is always hungry, especially now since he is eating more solid foods.
when bedtime rolls around, these girls seem to do the opposite of winding down...
makayah was dancing with samiyah and twirling her around the kitchen floor.
they are so lucky to have a sister.
mimzy steals shoes and such to delay bedtimes.
she can't stand to be predictable, so if it's not shoes, it's dressing up in princess gowns, throwing off the couch cushions to jump on the springs...
and finally, at some point when the sun has gone down, they are all put away - crying or not,
until tomorrow...
