i always look forward to general conference weekend. i have fond memories of attending ward pancake breakfasts, driving to temple square and racing to find our seats in the conference center. i doubt that with my four children, even if we did live in utah valley, we wouldn't be able to attend conference at the conference center as a family anyhow.
so, while my children are small and we live so far away, i will revel in homemade waffle breakfasts and camping out in the living room as we listen to the speakers.
i like this better, anyhow. :)
mosiah got in on the blueberry waffle action, too.
during the afternoon session, i told the kids i'd make them some treats and then i put out a veggie platter. i figure if i call veggies, "treats," then somehow i'll trick them into wanting veggies all the time. so far, it's working.
it never fails, cucumbers come out, and they end up on the girls' eyes.
mosiah napped for most of the session and was grumpy he missed it.
but, then i let him know i recorded it, just for him. he cheered up at that.
the kids did such a great job during conference, we rewarded them with a family movie and popcorn.
some days things just work out nicely. i like those days. :)
the end.
