34 weeks and i feel like a walrus trying to scoot from place to place. everywhere i go, people exclaim how "small" my belly is for being 8 months. i don't feel it. i feel like a walrus. the scale would agree, and this is why we can't be friends any longer. this kid has taken over all the space where my vital organs should be, and has been using them as punching bags. he likes to "talk" and play whenever he is awake.
whenever i do decide to get dressed in "real" clothes, i feel like a walrus stuffed into a tube top. maternity clothes are not my friends right now. only 1 more month...maybe a little longer, okay, most likely longer. but still - the end of cutting elastic waistbands, constantly falling pants, or riding up shirts is very near.
i'm still very hungry. all the time. nothing new here.
afternoon nap time is back with a vengeance. i can barely keep my eyes open some days. at the same time, i do get crazy bursts of energy and have been the most productive out of all three trimesters. i have so many projects i want to do, have completed, and am working on. it's quite thrilling and i love the feeling of accomplishment - if only the sleepiness was more predictable.
yoga no longer. i was doing the maternity yoga which is pretty tame, but the contractions began raging and well, it was quite uncomfortable to walk the rest of the day. i'm counting the stairs up to my apartment as my daily exercise now. as excited as i am to meet this baby boy of mine, we don't need an early appearance.
for some odd reason, my kids are extra cuddly and all three want to sit on my lap at the same time. the problem with this is, i no longer have a lap to sit on. mims doesn't understand this, and has become quite resentful of the fact that she can't cuddle the way she is used to cuddling.
i only have 5 more saturdays to go. the time in between i am swamped with children and husband school activities, daily house chores, baby preparation, and parties that the time is going to fly by without so much of a blink. i better get started. ;)
