one of the reasons why i LOVE Van Hise Elementary is the multicultural potluck and cultural showcase they host every spring. families bring a dish to share and the students and their families share a performance from their culture. van hise is so diverse, and i'm so glad we got to attend this year.
after a fun meal of various asian, european, south american, and north american dishes, we grabbed a seat and eagerly awaited the performances. our good friend, kate was the MC.

my favorite. isaiah did a wonderful job grass dancing. makayah was amazing doing the girl's jingle dance without her outfit...unfortunately i didn't get it done before the performance. but, they both rocked it.
we are so proud of them!
