just hanging out...

i tried something new for our silly saturday morning breakfast. 

i think this will be on our regular menu. :)

we had some time before isaiah's basketball game and practice to do a quick clean up. there's nothing better than coming back home to a clean house. ;) 

samiyah has been crawling and climbing upon everything. it's quite dangerous and as much as i tell her so, she doesn't quite get it or believe me. so, when she climbed up on the chairs while i was mopping, i left her there even after her cries for help to get down. it was actually quite helpful.

don't worry, grandparents...she was only fake crying, more out of frustration than anything else. 

isaiah has been improving with each basketball practice and game. he's gotten the hang of things and today, he made his free throw shot. we were so proud of him. 

daddy decided to reward them with pink-staining drinks afterwards.

the weather has been absolutely gorgeous with temperatures in the 70's. it's like we skipped spring and went right into summer. 

all in all, today was wonderful. we just hung out the rest of the day and relaxed. and since it was the weekend, mimzy took her spot on her usual chair -which just happened to be blocked by my sewing stuff - but that didn't seem to stop her from settling in. 

Sunday:

it was samiyah's first time in nursery. she's not technically 18 months yet, but we wanted to test the waters and see how she would do. she stayed for half the time, and then she was done. but, boy did she look so cute!!

isaiah had a cub scout derby race sunday evening. mimzy wanted to go, but we stayed behind - momma was tired.
