happy birthday, dr. seuss!

today there was a baking frenzy in this house. it began at 6:30am - shocking.

it was makayah's special day at preschool today which meant i had to provide snacks. i told her i'd make muffins, but last night i was too exhausted to do it...so, we all had fresh, warm whole wheat/oatmeal blueberry muffins for breakfast.

a snow storm began just after i dropped makayah off at school. by lunch time, everything was covered in white. sam decided to come home early...and i'm glad he did. we also checked isaiah out an hour early because of the snow (and we were already out and about).

isaiah thought he was in trouble. ;)

we came home and tidied up before beginning our fun friday festivities. mims wasn't such a great help, so we had to tape her hands up.

we all thought it was hilarious.

mischievous mims...not so much. 

 today was also dr. seuss's birthday. we celebrated with cat in the hat fruit skewers. 

fun friday movie and dancing.

fun fridays require some kind of yumminess. 

i was craving oatmeal mint chocolate chip cookies.

i just wish they lasted longer than they did.
