i don't think wisconsin was pushing 80's...
which meant, i had to soak in all this gorgeous vitamin D while i had the chance.
since we spent all day at the beach yesterday, we thought it wise to take a break today and visit the kona temple.
cruising in the big island is the best. sam and i remembered all of our poly friends back at byu while we were attending college, and how they'd always listen to their island music. it was nice and all, but until we were on the island ourselves, the ocean breeze whipping through our hair, the view of palm trees, and the intoxicating scent of plumeria filling our noses, we really couldn't appreciate the magic of it all. now we know. completely carefree.
we were excited to learn that there was a temple in kona. although we brought our tripod, ready for family portrait taking, the kids just wanted to run around. we were lucky enough to get individual portraits. that's how it goes.
before heading back, we met up with my parents and had dinner with them in kona. we also stopped off at hilo hatties and picked up some aloha shirts and treats.
these are addicting.
the end.
