it's that time of year again when isaiah along with the rest of his fellow classmates celebrate the momentous 100th day of school.
in honor of this joyous occasion, sam and i spent most of the night before pinning safety pins onto isaiah's hiking hat - 100 of them, while watching an episode of grey's anatomy. ok, so it was more of an assignment of isaiah's to create a hat of 100 things, but it was bedtime and we decided just to do it for him. besides, safety pins are anything but safe when trying to tack them onto something.
sisters admiring his artistic creations. they both wanted to try his paper crown and glasses on, but when they were asked not to, they decided to give him big hugs instead.
this isn't the safety pin hat - obviously, but, something he made at school for math. i love this kid and how cute he is. he said that his friends at school had dubbed him "the safety kid." he replied with his own little jig along to the old 80's song, "the safety dance." how does he even know that song? haha. he said he really wished he could've been the school announcer that day so he could sing the safety dance song and have everyone dance "the safety dance."
it's really not fair that 100 days have passed me by as quickly as they have. he's more than halfway through his first grade year, how did that happen?
happy one hundred days of school, isaiah. i love you like crazy.
