59 days and 3 doctor appointments to go...

the doctor's appointment was a record 30 minutes today, which was pretty great seeing as that was mimzy's limit to sitting still in her stroller the entire time. 

we scheduled the official day and time, and now, all i do is "wait." my doctor asked how the baby was doing as she was getting ready to listen to the heart beat, when makayah piped up, "he's WIGGLY!" she laughed and said, "wiggly is good!"

our family has been brainstorming baby names, and we've come up with everything from toots-mcgee to vince lombardi to aaron rogers.

we haven't officially decided on anything, but we do know that "aaron" will be one of the names - either as a first or middle. my brother, aaron, and i were very best friends growing up. after he passed away, in my patriarchal blessing it said he would always be watching over me as my guardian angel. it was extremely comforting.

years later, as isaiah grew and his personality emerged, my parents and i noticed how much his little mannerisms resembled that of aaron's. there were times when he even looked exactly like aaron. it was like my own special gift from heaven to be able to have this little reminder of my brother, to hold him and remember all our great past times.

isaiah is very much like his dad and uncle aaron. sam and aaron were very much alike in personality. i think that if aaron were still alive, he and sam would be the best of friends, too.

i do miss my brother all the time. i don't think there is a day that goes by - even 16 years later, that i don't think of him. although, it will be a while before we see each other again, i am greatly blessed to have been sent these heavenly reminders and comforts of him through my children.

i am thrilled for this baby boy to come. i can't wait to meet him. i can't help but think when i've seen each of my babies for the first time, that they are bringing a little "hello" and "i love you" from loved ones who have passed. until then, until i see his bright, beautiful, black eyes, we'll know then what his name will be. :)
