5 seconds of fame

now there's one more thing i can check off my bucket list:
appear in a primetime series on A&E as an extra.

i honestly don't know how sam and i get caught up in these random activities, but we do, and i admit, it is pretty fun.

our fellow extras.

the set. we're supposedly in wyoming during the winter. in actuality, we are in las vegas, NM in the summer.

behind the scenes.

this gal was a riot. she was great at making everyone laugh. we had a great time hanging with her.

props.

sam and i played the part of the angry indians.

after sipping chilled cucumber water and munching on snacks, we headed home after our hard day's worth of work - yes, we got paid! ;)
renee was our babysitter during the five hours we were there. it was actually really fun. we were bussed to the set. we hung out and talked with our fellow extras. we were bussed back for a catered lunch. bussed back to the set and filmed for a good solid hour. the best part is, we were paid for a full eight hours. not too shabby. i was mostly worried about mosiah. he's still a full-time nursing baby and still in his newborn phases at 2.5 months. i think i would've enjoyed the entire experience more if he was a little older. luckily, renee said he did just fine, sleeping the day away.

before trekking back to window rock, we stopped off in albuquerque for some sushi.
then, at walmart for some diapers.

on our way back. all in all, it was a pretty fabulous day.
