Tuesday
isaiah's last day of school.
it's funny how these things just sneak up on you.
at first, you think you're ready for it. but, for me, it's always this great big shock when the day finally comes and the wind is knocked out of me.
we've absolutely loved VHE. we're going to miss isaiah being a VHE hedgehog.
i'm going to miss chasing this hooligan up and down the hallways.
we're going to miss class gardens and rummaging around for rogue radishes.

we're going to miss the end of the year class salad freshly picked from the class garden.

we're going to miss our friends.

and i know, i'm going to miss isaiah being little enough to wear his super cool creations from school.
(his paper-mache ladybug hat, btw)

we're going to miss the end of school classroom awards like, most creative photography.
(that's my boy!)

we're going to miss morning circles.

we're going to miss the fabulous teachers.
and honestly, i didn't know how much until i had to say good-bye to ms. r. she asked me to make sure i kept in touch, and i crumpled. i hugged her and cried some more. i was doing so well about not crying up until then. ms. r has been an extraordinary teacher, and it has been such a happy two years working with her. isaiah and i are going to miss her immensely.
we're also going to miss isaiah's art teacher, mrs. c.
she's super cool and super fun, and isaiah has a great love for art which she cultivates so perfectly.

so, after my weeping episode, i wiped the tears away and talked with my mom friends as our kids played on the playground. one last time.
sigh.
did i mention, i'm really going to miss this place?
