camp crowfoot goes to the library

i'm really trying to keep with this "camp crowfoot" summer thing.
i don't want the summer to be overwhelming and busy to the point of exhaustion and temper tantrums from the kids or myself.
we love lazy summer days of waking up late, brunching on the patio, jumping on the trampoline, watching movies and snacking throughout the day.

but every once in a while, we need to go out and do something that isn't baseball or gymnastics.
we need to go someplace new and fun...
like the library.

the library is one of my most favorite places.
i'd like to just go hang out all by myself reading books, eating scones, drinking cocoa...hmm, that sounds more like barnes and noble. you get the idea.
we love books around here.

the puzzles only keep the babies' attention for as long as it takes me to pick up our books on hold, and scour the shelves for anything else that looks interesting.
and then, it's time to go before we wear out our welcome.

we walked by the library's fountain, splashed around a bit, and walked on.

here's my little bookworm. he's so adorable.

this is the front of our library.

we walked down the street to the museum.
i didn't know they only took cash. we'll have to come back some other time.

these bridges are everywhere. i love them.

we decided to walk downtown and get a bite to eat at ginnie's cupboard.
the sandwiches are so good.
because the kids were restless, we just sipped our ice water while we waited for our order - to go.
i gave mosiah a chip and on the two minute drive home, this is what happened.

that's enough excitement for one day.
