summer sports

our mornings start pretty early on mondays and wednesdays now.

yes, 9am is early.

isaiah was so excited about baseball starting up, and he had his clothes laid out on his floor the night before. so stinkin' sweet!

i was so excited to watch him. baseball always reminds me of the start of summer.

i have fond memories of watching my little brothers play, going to practices and games, and having chili dogs and coke afterwards.

and now i get to do it all over again.

if you can't tell from these photos, he's pretty darn good.

the coach wow'd and said, "you're a natural!"

i sometimes wish i had four sets of eyes and four sets of arms so i could watch isaiah's practice AND keep an eye on the rest of my kids.

i feel like all the parents around me look at me and think, "that girl is crazy. how in the world does she take care of all those kids?"

i have no idea.

and most days, i think i'm crazy for trying, too.

but somehow we managed to watch the older brother, and get into a fair amount of contained mischief.

i really tend to lean on the older two for help. and today, makayah was my golden child, helping out the little sister.

as you can tell, 9am is too early for me to find and put shoes on my baby,

pants included.

this double stroller is vital for containment. but after about 15 minutes and strolling back and forth, they wailed to get out.

mimzy just wanted to be a poser and take silly pictures with makayah.

these two crack me up.

they can be serious and still, too.

well, not for long.

mostly, the girls wanted to play with the water fountain.

water fountain germs? meh, who cares?

she's fearless.

it really did heat up later on in the day, and we had ourselves some trampoline water jumping.

makayah and her tie-dyed shirt. she has multiples since a couple turned out to be too small for isaiah.

at 6:15, it was mimzy's turn in the spotlight.

it was the first day of tumblebugs (gymnastics for 2 year olds).

these teachers are pretty brave. 

makayah and mosiah went outside to play swords while mimzy did her thang.

i'm so glad daddy was here to help her out.

her favorite is the balance beam, but more than that is jumping off the balance beam.

fearless.
