monday, monday...

camp crowfoot started today.
i figured we all needed to get along to make this summer as smooth as possible.
for the most part, isaiah and makayah are best buds.
but even best buds argue.

activity #1: cooperation and communication.
i thought this would be fairly simple.
put this child's puzzle together without fighting.
all they had to do was work together.

not simple.
this might end badly...

"i don't agree, and i WON'T agree!"
"just cropocate with me!"

and it quickly turned into a major therapy session.

"the helpful isaiah is gone. you just killed him."
"i'm NOT bossy!"
"okay, how about i just do the whole thing and I will get ALL the credit. how's that? is that fair? and when you get married, your wife will have to do all the work, too!"

after a few more insults and some tears, i stepped in.
we talked about how it would feel if someone talked to us the way we were talking to each other.
we talked about Jesus and how he would talk to us, and how we would talk to Him, or his children.
there were apologies and hugs and kisses.
and the darn puzzle was finally put together.

we thought we'd all head outside for a breather and some fun on the trampoline.
and SHE thought it would be much more fun to lock us all out.

side door, locked.
front door, locked.
sliding door, locked.
MIMZY!!!
it's really hard to stay mad, because she does this thing where she snickers behind her little hand, covering her mouth.

today was makayah's first day of gymnastics.

well done, makayah. you were awesome!
