our daddy, sam.

i don't need to say this, because it's pretty well known - but our daddy does need to hear it...

we have a truly amazing daddy.

sam is incredibly unselfish...

if it weren't for him, i couldn't have done my 8 mile run this morning.

and to show him just how much we care and love and appreciate him, we baked and cooked and created all sorts of yummy treats for him.

mosiah really, really wanted to help, too.

our daddy is spontaneous and silly and so fun.



he makes us squeal with joy...



or scream with terror because a certain someone just hates cold water...



he's fun to have around on hot, summer days. :)
or any day, really.



our daddy loves to share. even when it's his birthday, he goes in search of balloons to hand out to his little kidlets.



our daddy loves to spend any extra time he has with us.
he takes us fishing...



and doesn't ask for much in return but our love...
and a clean house - he really likes that.



sometimes he's crabby, but that's just our cue to love him more.



he's adventurous, and teaches his children to try new things and face their fears...



he takes the time to sit back and relax, breathing in the world, while holding what he loves most, close to his heart.



he takes us to places we think are fun - even if he thinks it's a little lame.



he's the type of guy who'll give you the shirt off his back, or the hat off his head...no biggie.
but seriously, once he cleared out his closet full of good pairs of shoes for a kid who had none.



and because of all the goodness in his heart, and strength in his soul, we look up to him...



and we love him with a fierceness that is suffocating and annoying, but he takes it, and he stays with us.



and he loves us back with that same fiery passion, with sweat on his brows, with the weight of the world on his shoulders, with a determination to keep his family no matter the challenges that are thrown his way. and yes, he'll even wear homemade tie-dyed shirts, just for us.

he's a good daddy. we're so glad he's ours.
