Saturday
this morning, running made it onto my priority list.
i did one 3 mile lap and cool downed with my girls.
makayah was waiting for me at the end.
she wanted me to run with her, but i was all out of energy.
she's a natural, though.
i hope i look like her when i run, but i kinda doubt it.
i think i'm more on the goofy-looking side of the spectrum.
mak ATTACK!
and my little mimz came to greet me.
yay, mimz!
sam and the kids had done a quick clean of the house and we were off for the day.
sam was on a mission looking for cars.
while he was out test-driving, the kids and i found some back roads and did some test driving of our own. i remember doing this as a kid, and i loved it.
they did, too.
mosiah was mostly, "beep-beep"-in.
mimzy was trying to get us killed, aiming our car straight into road obstructions.
makayah and isaiah, i was actually able to give a mini driving lesson on steering to.
we left lacrosse in search of another car. this time in iowa.
tri-state road trip!
commence the road trip music...
so, i guess the new rule is, no one is allowed to sing and dance except for mimzy.
she yelled at us if we tried having fun during her songs.
her songs:
"tonight" by f.u.n.
"drive by" by train
"baby" by justin beiber
she actually knows some of the words and will sing along.
and heaven forbid if any of us try to...
so, we let her have the spotlight on her special songs.
it was much more pleasant that way.
and once everyone had food, we were golden.
makayah, you're such a sweet sister.
and he's out, mid-bite.
turkey wraps and strawberry smoothies.
how did i not know about this kid meal awesomeness?
hello minnesota.
passing through hokah, mn.
hokah. small town, usa tour.
welcome to waukon, iowa.
i had to make sure this wasn't the same picture as above.
yes, this is waukon.
we had fun on our road trip, but it was time to head home.
we have some good little road-trippers.
a little stop to stretch our legs.
thank you for a wonderful day, my crazy crowfoots!
today i am grateful for:
*saturday morning clean-ups that make coming home, spectacular.
*road trip music
*coming home safely
