despite the disappointment of yesterday, we must've all had a really great rest.
everyone woke up so happy.
the best part of my day, by far, was dropping the kids off at school - not because i didn't want them around all day long - but because the goodbyes are so sweet. i love how isaiah smiled and waved and blew kisses in my direction over and over again until he was swallowed up in the elementary school doors where i could only imagine what went on in his social world of teachers, classmates, and cafeteria shenanigans.
when it was time to drop off makayah, she made a beeline for her classroom door, stopped, and then raced right back to me with her arms wide open, puckering up for a kiss goodbye. i savored that hug and kept it with me until it was time to pick her up again.
samiyah was extra cuddly and extra happy. she walked around in her baggy purple sleeper, squeezing her teddy bear tight around it's neck, and snuggling with whatever and whoever (mostly me) was around.
today i am grateful for:
*the grandparents gifts that are finally completed! i've got to go rest my eyes now, they are burning out of my head.
*homemade lamb curry. so yummy.
*happy endings.
*happy endings.
I'm curious what these grandparent gifts are you've been mentioning. :)
