The view from saturday

it was a day for catching up.
sam and i didn't get back from our photo shoot until late. and then of course, we had to unwind before actually falling into bed. it was a fun photo shoot, and it was difficult not to start moving to the rhythm while taking pictures. but that would've been silly, especially with all the heavy camera equipment hanging from my neck.

after catching up on work stuff this morning, i took the girls to get our ingredients for our gingerbread house project.

yes. and yes. these spots are life-savers. they are almost always open.

the new and improved purple car shopping carts. loved them!

we didn't actually have time to make the gingerbread houses, but i'm glad we now have all the stuff to make it. as soon as we got home, we had to get ready for a special photo shoot with santa.

mims really wanted to wear daddy's new boots, and thought she'd be faster than the rest of us by putting two feet into one shoe.

the party was fantastic, the food - oh my goodness. it was heavenly, but i've learned not to expect anything less whenever we go to Tru and Sir's place.

santa was a hit. and somehow i was called up by the big man, as well. i was told to be more patient with sam and his shopping habits along with all the other crazy things he does. i will most likely be getting coal this christmas.

today i am grateful for:

*pregnant people parking spots.

*driving around town all morning without any incidents.

*coats. it has yet to snow, but the temperature has dropped to freezing. i don't see the point of everything being so cold without snow.

  1. Mimz is wearing the cute outfit I got her! Love it! :)

I am also grateful for those parking spots. I wish they had them everywhere.

  2. I like the parents w/ infants part. We so need some of those here! It's just too cold to walk long distances w/ baby in this cold weather!
