Thursday
it's mid january, just about, and we finally awoke to a flurry of snow. the kids were ecstatic. they've been waiting and waiting for snow to come.
they just dove right in!
it was samiyah's first time in her hand-me-down winter suit from isaiah.
she enjoyed being outside, even if it was cold and windy.
makayah tried to sneak up on daddy and start a snowball fight.
snowflakes are tasty...
and fun to have on your nose and eyelashes.
brrrr!
mimzy, she's fallen and can't get back up...
hmm, not too sure about these big, bulky gloves...
smiling despite the frigid air.
her favorite thing to do, snow angels.
thrilled to be playing outside, can you tell?
but seriously, he is. ;)
on his way to his friend's house to invite her out to play...and a little tag-a-long trying to keep up.
for the most part...plopping on the snow.

round one goes to daddy.
round two: daddy wins again.
round three, mak pulls through.
after half an hour, mims was ready to come back inside,
mmm,
and eat the snow off her boots.
i probably should've stopped her. but, for a moment i felt like one of those wild, outdoor photojournalists who just let the wild be wild. and i did.
i think this blizzard calls for some hot cocoa!
