bye, bye, arizona

this morning we woke up to snow. of course it would snow. and if we weren't scheduled to drive to abq and fly back to madison today, i wouldn't have minded. thanks, snow for coming just a tad too late. 

we'll miss you umpa. thank you for all the fun.

little mims had to have her turn to say goodbye to her umpa, too.

thanks uncle bubba. mimzy will miss her baby carrier, dearly.

she was so spoiled by her "bubba." now, she won't have anyone to carry her around all day like the queen of sheba. 

not the whole fam, but those who were left. bye nana, we'll miss your hugs and kisses! 

we arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare. i think we've learned our lesson. it's so much nicer getting to the airport an hour and a half early.

one of the rewards of coming early: bumping into celebrities. sam surprisingly noticed the director of smoke signals and went up, chit chatted a bit, and took a quick pic. he's a nice guy.

now, playing the waiting game with coloring books, crayons, and cheerios.

daddy didn't think the cheerios were good enough, though. sigh.

everything went as smoothly as it could flying with three kids. no major incidents, but the flight was still sooooooo very long and exhausting with a little one who would rather walk and run about instead of being cooped up in a tiny airplane row. i'm just so glad we are back. it was nice to walk into our clean apartment and envelope myself beneath my clean, soft sheets. king-sized bed, oh how i've missed you!
